A Practice Without Walls
Community Concern LCSW Services, PC is a Black-owned behavioral health practice serving New York and Georgia, with family consultations and speaking engagements that reach nationally and internationally. Since 2015, our clinicians of color have provided psychotherapy, family consultation, workshops, coaching, and community education for high-functioning people who carry a lot. We work mostly virtually, so thoughtful, culturally aware care fits into even the busiest life.
For Communities Like Ours
Community Concern began in 2015 out of a desire to offer something impactful to communities of color: care that speaks to the dignity and respect every person deserves. We hold to a simple idea, that to be part of the solution you have to take action. That conviction shaped a for-profit practice which still gives generously to its community, and it continues to guide how we show up for everyone who trusts us.
Not A Problem To Fix
Our motto says it plainly: Wellness Not Illness, Mind, Body and Spirit. We meet people as capable adults who happen to be carrying heavy loads, not as problems to be fixed. That means strengths-based care respecting your intelligence, your culture, and your time. Whether you come to us for therapy, a workshop, or a consultation, we focus on practical tools and steady progress you can keep building on.
Part Of The Solution
We have always believed a practice should give back to the community it serves. Alongside our paid services, Community Concern provides free workshops, community education, and collaboration with other local partners. It reflects a conviction we started with in 2015: that to be part of the solution, you have to take action. Supporting communities of color is not a side project for us, it is who we are.
How We Give Back
Over the years that has taken many forms. We have hosted a year-long creative expression group for teenage girls and a financial literacy bootcamp for young women, and we take part in community events and speaking engagements, including work as an international speaker on gaming and gambling disorder. Each one is a chance to bring practical tools and genuine support to the people who need them most.
